Principal's Message
Dear Families,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the Principal of P.S. 58X Community School. With 20 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working in various grade levels and administrative roles. Eleven of those years were spent as a teacher and instructional specialist, followed by a year as a Citywide Special Education Liaison, where I co-wrote curriculum. For the past eight years, I have worked as an Assistant Principal in District 9.
In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD) with a focus on Systems Leadership, along with two Master’s Degrees—one in School Leadership and another in Dual Education (Special/General Education). These qualifications have prepared me to support our school’s mission and meet the needs of all our students.
The pinnacle of my achievements, however, is being a proud mother to my two amazing children, ages 13 and 29. I believe strongly that every child deserves a quality education that nurtures their individual talents, fosters their growth, and prepares them for a successful future. My leadership philosophy is simple: to lead with love. I am committed to creating a school environment that promotes joy, inclusivity, creativity, critical thinking, a love for learning, and excellence for all.
I am excited about the endless opportunities for collaboration with our dedicated staff, families, and community organizations to prioritize and enhance the well-being of our school community. Together, with your support, we will continue to work towards a successful school year for all of our students.
